• FSC certification, or Forest Stewardship Council certification, is an internationally recognized forestry management standard that promotes responsible forest management worldwide. FSC certification ensures that forest products come from responsibly managed forests throughout the entire supply chain, from forest to final product, taking into account environmental, social, and economic factors.
• There are two types of FSC certification:

1. FSC FM (Forest Management) certification: This certification targets forest management practices, ensuring that forest operations comply with FSC principles and standards, including maintaining biodiversity, protecting water sources, respecting the rights of indigenous peoples, and improving community well-being.
2. FSC CoC (Chain of Custody) certification: This certification focuses on supply chain management, ensuring that products originate from FSC-certified forests throughout the entire supply chain, from forest to end consumer. This helps consumers identify and purchase forest products from responsible sources.

• The FSC certification standard includes the following key principles:

1. Comply with laws and FSC principles: Ensure that forestry operations comply with the laws of the country where they are located and the international standards of FSC.
2. Worker Rights and Working Conditions: Protecting workers' rights and improving working conditions.
3. Community Relations and Workers' Rights: Respect the rights and interests of local communities.
4. Environmental impact: Protecting forest ecosystems, species and landscapes.
5. Management Plans: Develop and implement detailed forest management plans.
6. Monitoring and evaluation: Continuously monitor and evaluate the impact and effectiveness of forest management.
7. Protecting High Conservation Value Forests: Identifying and protecting forest areas with high environmental, social and cultural value.

Purchasing and using FSC-certified products helps support responsible forest management, reduces negative impacts on the environment, and promotes sustainable development. The FSC logo often appears on forest products such as paper, furniture, and building materials, helping consumers identify and choose environmentally friendly products.

• INGEDE, short for the International Association of the Deinking Industry, is an international association specializing in paper recycling and deinking technology. The organization is primarily dedicated to developing and promoting deinking technologies and standards for recycled paper, aiming to improve the quality and efficiency of recycled paper.

• "PFAS-Free" is a designation indicating that a product does not contain per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). PFAS are a group of compounds comprising thousands of chemicals. Due to their unique resistance to water, oil, and heat, they are widely used in a variety of industrial and consumer products, such as waterproof fabrics, non-stick coatings, and food packaging. However, PFAS have gradually attracted widespread attention due to their extreme resistance to degradation in the environment and the potential risks they pose to human health and the environment.

In 2023 and 2024, Qianbin Industrial will promote tesa's sustainable certification-related packaging tapes at the Kaohsiung Industrial Automation Show, the Taipei International Auto Parts Show (AMPA), and other industry seminars in various counties and cities in Taiwan.

During this period, Chien-Bin Industrial not only visited leading domestic and international supply chain manufacturers but also received inquiries and inquiries from competitors and local OEMs, even seeking to purchase our sustainable packaging materials imported from Germany. Chien-Bin Industrial excels in global key account management. This experience in OEM and brand operations has taught us that we should place greater emphasis on introducing cutting-edge products that keep pace with the world. This path is not easy, as Taiwan has historically been an OEM-oriented market. We will continue to work with the original tesa brand manufacturer to promote ESG sustainability and introduce certified products, serving our numerous customers in the Taiwanese market.
